V <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1882 . <br />WHEREAS, the public convenience, safety and necessity of <br />the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, and of the citizens of the City of <br />Paris, require that the City Council of the City of Paris cooperate <br />with the State of Texas in every manner in which the State Highway <br />routes within the City of Paris may be improved; and, <br />WHEREAS, the State of Texas heretofore completed an <br />illumination project at the interchange of U." S. Highway 271 N. �- <br />with U. S. Highway 82 E. and at the interchange of U. S. Highway <br />271 S. E. with Loop Highway 286 E. , which is covered by Safety <br />Lighting Agreement; and., <br />WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public <br />Transportation has completed a new interchange at U. S. Highway <br />82 and Stillhouse Road, which -can only be lighted when covered by <br />a new agreement; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City of <br />Paris that the Agreement for Construction, Maintenance and <br />Operation of Safety Lighting System within Municipalities, which <br />covers the three described interchanges, be executed; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That Michael E. Malone, Mayor of the City of Paris, be, and <br />he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the <br />City of Paris the Agreement for Construction, Maintenance and <br />Operation of Safety Lighting System within Municipalities, attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A. <br />Passed and adopted this 14th day of August, 1978. <br />r <br />{ <br />ichael R.
