The request of Dennis Carroll for a'water connection in.the gray'area on Meadowlark <br />Street in Pine Mill Addition was unanimously approved on a motion by Councilman <br />Wunsch, seconded by Councilman Fisher. ,. <br />City Manager Sokoll then requested authorization to advertise for, bids on a new <br />building for the Street Department. He reported that the present structure is in <br />bad condition and the plan is to tear it down and replace it with a metal structure. <br />Councilman Farris made a motion'to authorize.the taking of bids for the construction <br />of the Street Department building, Councilman Burnett seconded the motion which <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 1883 appointing W. R. Phillips, M.D. as City Health Officer was <br />_presented. Councilman Wunsch made a motion to approve the resolution, Councilman <br />Burnett seconded the motion which carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1883 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been without a City, Health <br />Officer since December, 1971; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and appropriate that the City <br />Council of the City of Paris act under the authority granted in <br />Article 4425, Vernon's Annotated Texas Statutes, and appoint a <br />City Health Officer; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris recommends the <br />appointment of W. R. Phillips, M. D. as City Health Officer through <br />D e c e m b e r_ 31, 1979; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That W. R. Phillips, M.
