33i <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR. MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />October 9th, 1978 <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Monday, <br />October 9, 1978, at 7 :00 P.M. Mayor Malone called the meeting to order with <br />the following Councilmen present: B. J. Barnett, Jim Farris, Raymond Wunsch, <br />Walter r Williams, and David Philley. Also present were City Manager, Robert <br />W. Sokoll, City Clerk, H. C. Greene, and City Attorney, T. K. Haynes. <br />Prayer was offered by Warren Leddick, Director of Parks and Recreation, City <br />of Paris. <br />Mayor Malone ask if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous <br />meetings furnished to the Council members. There being none, the minutes <br />were approved.. <br />Mayor 11alone announced that the first order of business would be consideration <br />of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mayor Malone declared the public hearing open on the petition of David Glass <br />for a change of zoning from a General Retail District to General Ret^.'1 <br />District and Specific Use Permit - Auto Fuel Sales on part of Lot 12, City <br />Block 223, located on the southwest corner of Lamar Avenue and 20th S. E. <br />Mayor Malone called for proponents to appear and Mr. David Glass appeared _ <br />in his behalf stating that the 7- 11.type store was planned for the property, <br />and that he wish to include auto fuel sales. <br />Mayo:. Malone called for opponents to appear and none appeared. <br />Mayor Malone declared the public hearing closed and Ordinance No. 2410' <br />Aid ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. .1710 OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED <br />BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A GENERAL RETAIL <br />DISTRICT (GR) AND A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, AUTO FUEL SALES (49) <br />014 A PART OF LOT 12, CITY BLOCK 223, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO <br />DAVID GLASS, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY <br />DESIGNATED AS A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (CM); AND DESIGNATING <br />THE BOUNDARIES OF THE GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) AND <br />SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, AUTO FUEL SALES (49), SO ESTABLISHED. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Wunsch, seconded by <br />Councilman Burnett for adoption of the Ordinance. Motion carried 6 ayes, <br />0 rays. <br />Mayor Malone declared the p.-'lic hearing-open on the petition of Clavin <br />Gibson and Reginald Hodges for a change in zoning from a 1ulti- Family <br />Dwelling District 110. 1 to a Commercial District on part of Lots 12 <br />and 13, City Block 157 located -on the east side of 1st Street S. W. at <br />Brown Avenue <br />Mayor Malone called for proponents to appear and Reginald Hodges appeared <br />in behalf of the petition stating that Mr. Gibson wished re- zoning for the <br />purpose of displaying and sale of equipment and Mr. Hodges, himself, to <br />operate an auto repair service in an existing garage behind his house. <br />
