33i MINUTES OF THE REGULAR. MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL October 9th, 1978 The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Monday, October 9, 1978, at 7 :00 P.M. Mayor Malone called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: B. J. Barnett, Jim Farris, Raymond Wunsch, Walter r Williams, and David Philley. Also present were City Manager, Robert W. Sokoll, City Clerk, H. C. Greene, and City Attorney, T. K. Haynes. Prayer was offered by Warren Leddick, Director of Parks and Recreation, City of Paris. Mayor Malone ask if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous meetings furnished to the Council members. There being none, the minutes were approved.. Mayor 11alone announced that the first order of business would be consideration of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mayor Malone declared the public hearing open on the petition of David Glass for a change of zoning from a General Retail District to General Ret^.'1 District and Specific Use Permit - Auto Fuel Sales on part of Lot 12, City Block 223, located on the southwest corner of Lamar Avenue and 20th S. E. Mayor Malone called for proponents to appear and Mr. David Glass appeared _ in his behalf stating that the 7- 11.type store was planned for the property, and that he wish to include auto fuel sales. Mayo:. Malone called for opponents to appear and none appeared. Mayor Malone declared the public hearing closed and Ordinance No. 2410' Aid ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. .1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) AND A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, AUTO FUEL SALES (49) 014 A PART OF LOT 12, CITY BLOCK 223, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO DAVID GLASS, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (CM); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, AUTO FUEL SALES (49), SO ESTABLISHED. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Wunsch, seconded by Councilman Burnett for adoption of the Ordinance. Motion carried 6 ayes, 0 rays. Mayor Malone declared the p.-'lic hearing-open on the petition of Clavin Gibson and Reginald Hodges for a change in zoning from a 1ulti- Family Dwelling District 110. 1 to a Commercial District on part of Lots 12 and 13, City Block 157 located -on the east side of 1st Street S. W. at Brown Avenue Mayor Malone called for proponents to appear and Reginald Hodges appeared in behalf of the petition stating that Mr. Gibson wished re- zoning for the purpose of displaying and sale of equipment and Mr. Hodges, himself, to operate an auto repair service in an existing garage behind his house.
