<br />OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED
<br />BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
<br />(C) ON A PART OF LOT 12 AND A PART OF LOT 13, CITY BLOCK 157, CN
<br />PROPERTY BELONGING TO CALVIN R. GIBSON AND REGINALD W. HODGES, SO
<br />AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A MULTIPLE
<br />FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. I (MP-1); AND DESIGNATED THE BOUNDARIES
<br />OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) SO ESTABLISHED.
<br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Council-
<br />man Williams for adoption of the Ordinance. Motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays.
<br />Mr. Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development appeared before the
<br />Council, and presented and discussed a pro rata Ordinance which had been
<br />recommended for adoption by the Planning and Zoning Commission. After
<br />discussion by the Council on the pro rata Ordinance, Mayor Malone appointed
<br />a committee composed of Councilman Farris, Councilman Philley, and Council-
<br />man Wunsch to,study the Ordinance and make recommendations to the Council.
<br />City Attorney Haynes presented the following petitions for re- zoning; John
<br />W. Biard Lot 14, Block 45A from a Commercial to Commercial and Specific
<br />Use Permit -Auto Fuel Sales; 0. L. Rainey Lot 14, Block 296, One Family
<br />Dwelling District No. 2 to Plan Development District - Community Unit
<br />F Development; W. H. House, Jr. Lot 13, City Block 262, One Family Dwelling
<br />District to a Multi- Family Dwelling District; Whitken, Inc., Lot 6, 7, 8,
<br />and 9, Block '1, Hayes Heights Addition from Single Family District to
<br />' Two Multi- Family District One; O. L. Rainey and J. W. Harrison, Lot 4,
<br />5, 6, Block B. Winnwood Addition, from a Single Family District to a
<br />General Retail District; Jack Denman and James Rheudasil, Lot 4, 4A and
<br />4B, City Block 286, from Single Family Two and Plan Development District
<br />to General Retail.
<br />Mayor Malone referred the petitions to the Planning and Zoning Commission
<br />for their study and recommendations and called for a public hearing at
<br />the next regular Council meeting.
<br />Mayor Malone called for the reading of an Ordinance previously authorized
<br />for installation of stop signs. Ordinance No. 2412

<br />AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC - CONTROL DEVICE MAP ADOPTED
<br />Lq PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 29 -80 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR
<br />A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
<br />PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR
<br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER 1, 1978.
