RESOLUTION NO. 1913 . WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution No. 1895 authorize the processing of a grant application for the Extension of Water Distribution Lines to Serve Industrial Area in the Southwest Section of the City of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor and Staff Members did attend a preapplication conference conducted by the Austin Regional Office of the Economic Develop- ment Administration; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Paris that the project - heretofore authorized be enlarged to a total project cost of $498,700.00, $299,220.00 amount to be provided by grant and $199,480.00 to be provided by.local funds and in kind services; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: That the application heretofore authorized to be made to the Economic Development Administration for the Extension of Water Distribution Lines to Serve Industrial Areas in the South and Southwest Section of the City of Paris is hereby authorized to be increased to a total project cost of $498,700.00, $299,220.00 amount to be provided by grant and $199,480.00 to be provided by local funds and in kind services. City Manager Sokoll recommended that a Consulting Engineer be authorized for the project. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Philley authorizing the City Manager to engage a Consulting Engineering Firm for the water extension.project at such time as the City is assured of the grant approval. Motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Malone called for a motion on Resolution No. 1913. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Burnett for adoption of the Resolution.
