RESOLUTION NO. 1913 . <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in <br />Resolution No. 1895 authorize the processing of a grant application for <br />the Extension of Water Distribution Lines to Serve Industrial Area in the <br />Southwest Section of the City of Paris, Texas; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Staff Members did attend a preapplication <br />conference conducted by the Austin Regional Office of the Economic Develop- <br />ment Administration; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Paris that <br />the project - heretofore authorized be enlarged to a total project cost of <br />$498,700.00, $299,220.00 amount to be provided by grant and $199,480.00 to <br />be provided by.local funds and in kind services; NOW THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br />That the application heretofore authorized to be made to the <br />Economic Development Administration for the Extension of Water Distribution <br />Lines to Serve Industrial Areas in the South and Southwest Section of the <br />City of Paris is hereby authorized to be increased to a total project cost <br />of $498,700.00, $299,220.00 amount to be provided by grant and $199,480.00 <br />to be provided by local funds and in kind services. <br />Passed and adopted this 19th day of December, 1978. <br />APPROVED AS _T F RM: <br />T. K. Haynes, Clity Attorney . <br />Prior to the question, discussion was had on the Engineering Services for the <br />project. City Manager Sokoll recommended that a Consulting Engineer be <br />authorized for the project. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Philley <br />authorizing the City Manager to engage a Consulting Engineering Firm for <br />the water extension.project at such time as the City is assured of the grant <br />approval. Motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone called for a motion on Resolution No. 1913. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Burnett for adoption of the Resolution. <br />Motion carried 5 ayes, 0 naps. <br />4- <br />
