_ trt <br />RESOLUTION NO.: 1860 . <br />WHEREAS, James M. Brunette did serve the City of Paris as <br />its Mayor from May 13, 1974 to April 12, 1978; and, <br />WHEREAS, James M. Brunette did serve as Councilman at <br />Large from April 11, 1973 to April 14, 1976, and as Councilman <br />From Ward Six (6) from April 14, 1976 to April 12, 1978; and, <br />WHEREAS, Councilman Brunette, while serving as Mayor, has <br />been a willing and able spokesman for the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that James M. Bruaette be <br />remembered for his service as Councilman and Mayor of the City <br />of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That James M. Brunette, be, and he is hereby commended <br />for his outstanding service as Mayor and Councilman of the City of <br />Paris, and that we do here and now extend to him our best wishes <br />for his future welfare and our request for his continued interest in <br />the future of the City of Paris. <br />Passed and adopted this 8th day of May, 1978. <br />APPROVED TO FORM: <br />T. Haynes, City Attorney <br />Counciman Williams announced that the next order of business would be considerations <br />of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Councilman Williams declared the public hearing open on the petition of Vivian <br />Jenkins for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 to a <br />Neighborhood Service District on Lot 17, City Block 48, located at 211 12th N.W. <br />Councilman Williams called for proponents to appear, and Mrs. Vivian Jenkins appeared <br />in behalf of her petition stated that she wished to operate a one chair beauty shop <br />at this location. <br />
