i0 <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise for bids for po- <br />lice vehicles, such bids to be received on October 92 1974, tabulated, and <br />presented to the City Council at its Regular Meeting on October 14, 1974. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Hutchison and seconded by Councilman Whita- <br />ker that the request be granted. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise for bids for <br />street sweeper and boring equipment, such bids to be received October 9, <br />1974, tabulated, and presented to the City Council, at its Regular Meeting <br />on October 14, 1974. A motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded <br />by Councilman Moore that the request be approved. The motion carried: 6 <br />ayes, O nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise for bids on <br />utility adjustment work on N. w. Loop 286, such bids to be received Octo- <br />ber 16, 1974 and to be presented to the City Council at a special Council <br />meeting on October 21, 1974. A motion was made by Councilman King and se- <br />conded by Councilman Rainey to approve the request. The motion carried.: <br />6 ayes, O nays. <br />Director of Finance Greene presented the 1974 Tax Roll showing valuation <br />of $40,078,865.00 with Tax Levy of $881,735.04 and recommended its appro- <br />val. A motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman _ <br />Stone that the 1974 Tax Roll be approved. The motion carried: 6 ayes, <br />O nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt presented a request from Roy Williamson for water ser- <br />vice off of Highway 82 East of the present city limits, approximately 1200 <br />feet. Councilman Whitaker requested to be excused from the Council Cham- <br />bers. A motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman <br />Moore that Councilman Whitaker be excused. The motion carried: 6 ayes, <br />O nays. Councilman Whitaker left the Council Chambers. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman"King and seconded by <br />Councilman Stone that the request be granted under the present policies of <br />services outside the City limits. The motion carried: 5 ayes, O nays. <br />
