City Manager Sweatt presented a request from Mr. Kay Brown for water and sewer service on Highway 82 West, immediately adjacent to Central Freight Lines. The City Manager also presented a request from Mr. Brown for an- nexation of the property in question at a date in the future and during the next annexation proceedings of the City. City Manager Sweatt recommended that the water and sewer service be granted in the interim period until annexation proceedings could be had. A motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman Moore that the recommendation of the City Manager be approved. The motion carried: 5 ayes, O nays. Councilman Whitaker resumed his seat at the Council table. City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to remove- a dilapidated building at Record Park. A motion was made by Councilman Moore and seconded by Councilman King that the request be approved. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Sweatt requested confirmation of Mr. Pat Bailey as airport manager. A motion was made by Councilman Stone and seconded by Council - man King that Mr. Bailey be confirmed as airport manager. The motion car- ried: 6 ayes, O nays. At 10 :26 P. M. Mayor Brunette announced that the Council would go into exe- cutive session for discussion of a real estate matter. City Manager Sweatt advised the Council that a large building on leased ground had been offered the City. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Hutchison and seconded by Councilman Rainey that the City staff investigate possibilities for use of the property and report such information to the Council. The motion carried: 6 ayes, O nays. At 10 :38 P. M. the executive session was closed and the regular session was declared opened.
