City Manager Sweatt presented a request from Mr. Kay Brown for water and <br />sewer service on Highway 82 West, immediately adjacent to Central Freight <br />Lines. The City Manager also presented a request from Mr. Brown for an- <br />nexation of the property in question at a date in the future and during <br />the next annexation proceedings of the City. <br />City Manager Sweatt recommended that the water and sewer service be granted <br />in the interim period until annexation proceedings could be had. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman Moore that the <br />recommendation of the City Manager be approved. The motion carried: 5 <br />ayes, O nays. <br />Councilman Whitaker resumed his seat at the Council table. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to remove- a dilapidated building <br />at Record Park. A motion was made by Councilman Moore and seconded by <br />Councilman King that the request be approved. The motion carried: 6 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt requested confirmation of Mr. Pat Bailey as airport <br />manager. A motion was made by Councilman Stone and seconded by Council - <br />man King that Mr. Bailey be confirmed as airport manager. The motion car- <br />ried: 6 ayes, O nays. <br />At 10 :26 P. M. Mayor Brunette announced that the Council would go into exe- <br />cutive session for discussion of a real estate matter. City Manager Sweatt <br />advised the Council that a large building on leased ground had been offered <br />the City. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Hutchison and <br />seconded by Councilman Rainey that the City staff investigate possibilities <br />for use of the property and report such information to the Council. The <br />motion carried: 6 ayes, O nays. <br />At 10 :38 P. M. the executive session was closed and the regular session was <br />declared opened. <br />Mayor Brunette announced that no other business was to come before the <br />Council and the meeting adjourned. <br />MAYOR J.
