360 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL June 9, 1975 The Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on June 9, 1975 at 7:00 P. M. Mayor James M. Brunette called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: Joe King, Brad Hutchison, W. M. (Dub) Moore, Sam M. Stone, Doyle Whitaker, and Lloyd Sterling. Also present were City Manager K. R. Sweatt, City Attorney T. K. Haynes, and City-Clerk H. C. -G- reeve. Prayer was offered by Reverend Eric McQuitty, pastor of First Presbyterian Church. Mayor Brunette asked if there were any corrections or additions to the minutes of the previous meetings as furnished the members of the Council. There being none., the minutes were approved. Mayor Brunette announced that the first order of business would be consideration of the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission whose meeting was held on June.2, 1975. Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the petition of John Pass for a change in zoning from Neighborhood Service District to a Planned Development Multi - Family District on the west 6.06 acres of Lot 2, City Block 299. Councilman Hutchison. requested to be excused from this matter of business. A motion was made by Councilman Whitaker and seconded by Councilman Moore that Councilman Hutchison be excused. .The .motion carried unanimously, and Councilman Hutchison departed the Council Chambers. Mayor Brunette called for proponents to appear, and Mr. John Pass appeared in his behalf, presenting a site plan for an apartment complex to be constructed on the site. Mayor Brunette called for opponents to appear, and none appeared. Ordinance No. 2225: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, COMMUNITY UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PD -b) ON A PART OF LOT 21 CITY BLOCK 299, UPON PROPERTY OF WHICH JOHN PASS OWNS A CURRENT OPTION, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS), AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, COMMUNITY UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PD -b) SO ESTABLISHED. was.presented. A motion was made by Councilman King and seconded by Councilman Stone for the adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried: 6 ayes, O nays. Councilman Hutchison entered the Council Chambers and assumed his seat. Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the petition of Allied Medical Supplies, Inc. for a change in zoning from a Planned Development Multi- Family District to a Commercial District on the east 100 feet of Lot 6, City Block 306, located on the north side of DeShong Drive, 300 feet west of Lewis Lane. Mr. Nathan Bell appeared in behalf of the buyer, as well as the seller of the property.
