360 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />June 9, 1975 <br />The Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on June 9, 1975 at 7:00 P. M. Mayor <br />James M. Brunette called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: <br />Joe King, Brad Hutchison, W. M. (Dub) Moore, Sam M. Stone, Doyle Whitaker, and Lloyd <br />Sterling. Also present were City Manager K. R. Sweatt, City Attorney T. K. Haynes, <br />and City-Clerk H. C. -G- reeve. <br />Prayer was offered by Reverend Eric McQuitty, pastor of First Presbyterian Church. <br />Mayor Brunette asked if there were any corrections or additions to the minutes of the <br />previous meetings as furnished the members of the Council. There being none., the <br />minutes were approved. <br />Mayor Brunette announced that the first order of business would be consideration of <br />the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission whose meeting was held on <br />June.2, 1975. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the petition of John Pass for a <br />change in zoning from Neighborhood Service District to a Planned Development Multi - <br />Family District on the west 6.06 acres of Lot 2, City Block 299. Councilman Hutchison. <br />requested to be excused from this matter of business. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Whitaker and seconded by Councilman Moore that Councilman Hutchison be excused. .The <br />.motion carried unanimously, and Councilman Hutchison departed the Council Chambers. <br />Mayor Brunette called for proponents to appear, and Mr. John Pass appeared in his behalf, <br />presenting a site plan for an apartment complex to be constructed on the site. <br />Mayor Brunette called for opponents to appear, and none appeared. <br />Ordinance No. 2225: <br />"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY <br />THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT <br />DISTRICT, COMMUNITY UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PD -b) ON A PART OF LOT 21 <br />CITY BLOCK 299, UPON PROPERTY OF WHICH JOHN PASS OWNS A CURRENT <br />OPTION, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED <br />AS A NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS), AND DESIGNATING THE <br />BOUNDARIES OF THE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, COMMUNITY UNIT <br />DEVELOPMENT (PD -b) SO ESTABLISHED. <br />was.presented. A motion was made by Councilman King and seconded by Councilman Stone <br />for the adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried: 6 ayes, O nays. <br />Councilman Hutchison entered the Council Chambers and assumed his seat. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the petition of Allied Medical <br />Supplies, Inc. for a change in zoning from a Planned Development Multi- Family District <br />to a Commercial District on the east 100 feet of Lot 6, City Block 306, located on <br />the north side of DeShong Drive, 300 feet west of Lewis Lane. <br />Mr. Nathan Bell appeared in behalf of the buyer, as well as the seller of the property. <br />
