- 361 <br />Mayor Brunette called for opponents to appear, and none appeared. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing closed, and Ordinance No. 2226: <br />"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED <br />BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DIS- <br />TRICT (C) ON LOT 6A, CITY BLOCK 306, UPON PROPERTY OF WHICH <br />ALLIED MEDICAL SUPPLIES, INC. OWNS A CURRENT OPTION, SO AS TO <br />INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A PLANNED <br />DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, COMMUNITY UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PD -b),. AND <br />DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) SO <br />ESTABLISHED." <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Moore and seconded by Councilman Whitaker <br />for the adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the petition of John C. Culpepper <br />for site plan approval of the proposed Village Green Shopping Center on Lots 3 and 4, <br />City Block 287, located on the southwest corner of Lamar Avenue and Loop 286. Coun- <br />cilman Hutchison requested that he be excused. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Whitaker and seconded by Councilman Moore that Councilman Hutchison be excused.. The <br />motion carried unanimously, and Councilman Hutchison departed the Council Chambers. <br />Mr. Don McLaughlin, Attorney, and Mr. John C. Culpepper appeared before the Council <br />asking approval of the site plan and stating that a shopping center was proposed for <br />the site; that the petitioners were prepared to begin construction immediately; that . <br />Safeway Super Store, Eckert Drug Store, Beall's Department Store, and TG &Y Family <br />Store were tenants presently committed to the shopping Center. <br />Mayor Brunette called for opponents to appear, and none appeared. <br />Ordinance No. 2227: <br />"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 2059 WHICH AMENDED <br />ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br />BY REVISING SECTION 3 OF SAID ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR THE AP- <br />PROVAL OF AN AMENDED SITE PLAN; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR <br />PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 9, 1975." <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Sterling and seconded by Councilman <br />Stone for the adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried.: 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Councilman Hutchison entered the Council Chambers and assumed his chair. <br />City Attorney Haynes presented the following petitions for amendment to the Zoning <br />Ordinance: G. M. Price, Lot 3, City Block 226, requesting change from Two - Family <br />Dwelling District to Office District with a Specific Use Permit - Antique Shop; <br />Mrs. Pauline Butler, Lot 23, Block C., Block 70 -B, requesting change from a Two - <br />Family Dwelling District to Specific Use Permit -- Day Care Center. <br />City Attorney Haynes presented and read a food handler's ordinance. in accordance with <br />
