254 <br />Dr. Richard Swint appeared before the Council to discuss his dissatisfaction with the <br />operation of the City's. Sanitary Landfill, and recommend an overall regional approach <br />to collection and disposal of solid waste matters and suggested only persons of firms <br />engaged in refuse waste collection and disposal, using packer /container type equipment <br />be allowed to haul material to the fill site. <br />Mayor Brunette advised that the Council would go. into executive session at this time. <br />City Attorney Haynes discussed pending litigation on a suit in Federal District Court <br />regarding single member district provisions. Mr. Haynes also discussed a damage claim <br />filed for damages, alleging a malfunction of traffic signal at 3rd and Bonham Streets. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the executive session concluded, and the Council Meeting open. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman Stone for adjournment. <br />The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />MAYOR JAMES M BRUNETTE <br />ATTEST: H.
