MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL June 14, 1976 The Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on June 14, 1976 at 7:00 P. M. at the City Hall. Mayor James M., Brunette called the meeting to order with the follow- ing Councilmen present: George Fisher, Jr., Ben Hinds, David Philley, 0. L. Rainey, Jimmy Don Stone, and Walter F. Williams. Also present were City .Manager K. R. Sweatt, City Attorney T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk H. C. Greene. Prayer was offered by Councilman Ben Hinds. Mayor Brunette asked if there were any additions or.corrections to the minutes of previous meetings as furnished the Council members. There being none, the minutes were approved. Mayor Brunette announced that the first order of business would be consideration of recommendations, made by the Planning and Zoning Commission at its meeting on June 7, T97o> City ;fanager Sweatt presented the Tinal plat of the ��orningside Estates ?art 5 and recommended its approval as had been done by the Planning and Zoning Commission, provided that a bond in the amount of $2,125.00, covering incomplete work would be posted, in accordance with Section 13 of the Sub- division regulations of the City of Paris., After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Rainey and seconded by Councilman Hinds to approve the final plat subject to the requirements of the Direc- tor of Public Works and subject to the posting of bond covering the incomplete items _._.. in the amount of $2,125.00 The motion carried:- 7 ayes., 0 nays. Mayor Brunette announced that the next order of business would be consideration of recommendations_:made by the Traffic Commission at its meeting on June 1.: 1976. In accordance with the recommendation of the Traffic Commission who recommended the placement of a "No Parking" zone on the north side of East Austin Street beginning 30 feet east of the intersection with 5th Street S. E.,-and west a distance of 200 feet, a motion was made by Councilman Fisher and seconded by Councilman Rainey, authorizing the preparation of the ordinance in accordance with the recommendation. The motion carried; 7 ayes, 0 nays. A motion was made by Councilman Williams and seconded by Councilman.Hinds, authorizing the preparation of an ordinance for presentation at a future Council meeting for loading zones located on the north side of East Price Street, 30 feet from its inter- section with North Main; south side of 100 Block of Bonham Street, 30 feet east from its intersection with 2nd Street S. E.; north side of Clarksville Street in the 10 Block, 30 feet from the intersection with South Main; and on the east side of North Main Street in the second Block, 30 feet from its_ intersection with Price Street. - - The- motion _carried__ 7.._- ayes_,._0 nays. Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the proposed street assessment for improvements to Jefferson Road, from the east boundary line of State Highway 19 and 24 East to the east boundary line of the Paris Independent School District.
